About Dom

I have been playing the guitar for 15 years; have been a professional performing and teaching musician for over 3 and am a prominent figure in London's Americana scene.

My guitar journey began with playing electric rock guitar, and through exploring the roots of my heroes I fell in love with the acoustic blues music from the 1920s and 1930s.

Through practice and passion I have mastered the fingerstyle guitar playing of the folk and blues greats, including Delta Blues, Ragtime, British 60s Folk, Slide Guitar, Travis Picking and more.

I would love to show you the great masters of the Folk and Blues genres, and introduce you to a way of playing one guitar and making it sound like 2!

About the lesson

Are you an acoustic guitarist who wants to get beyond strumming basic chords? Are you a rock guitarist who wants to explore the root genres of rock? With a background in electric lead guitar, I specialise in fingerstyle folk and blues guitar playing. Perfect for singer-songwriters who want to learn to accompany themselves with greater musicianship and for electric players looking to increase their versatility. From absolute beginners to advanced players, I have you covered.

Lessons will get you learning folk and blues classics from Bob Dylan to Robert Johnson. But as well as learning songs you will learn techniques, exercises, and guitar-centred music theory. This balanced approach will help you understand the internal workings of your favourite music and bring it over into your own playing, turning you into a well-rounded musician, whilst having lots of fun in the process!
