About Melania
I work for the Department of Education-District 75 since 2006 to present, but I previously used to be a Group family Day Care from 1997 through 2005. My students have been placed in Bilingual settings because they are more predominant in Spanish than in English. Most of them come from Latino cultures without any previous school experiences and barely communicate in their native language which make the integration process somehow challenged for them but no impossible.

I am a native Spanish speaker, born and raised in a latin country. I select the style that addresses the needs of diverse students at different learning levels beginning with a personal inventory , a self evaluation of the students' strengths and weaknesses. I am a big advocate of differentiated instruction. It is essential to keep all students in mind when developing lesson plans, workbook exercises, lectures and interactive learning.
