I am a certified sign language tutor with 4 years of experience teaching online. I specialize in adaptive, culturally rooted instructions. My lessons blend interactive practice such as storytelling in sign language with Deaf culture education, ensuring my students learn authentic, context-aware signing. 1. Teaching Methods
My teaching methods include interactive activities like role play to build practical skills. We will also briefly discuss the Deaf culture to have a better understanding of Sign Language.
There is also a keen observation on handshapes, movement and non-manual signals as that is what makes up efficient sign language.
2. Typical lesson plan
Warm up ( 10 mins)
Where we discuss what was previously learnt.
New Vocabulary and Guide practice (30 mins)
Introduce themed sign e.g (family) with demonstrations. Include dialogues and roleplay to apply to new and existing signs.
Receptive and Expressive signing skills. (15 mins)
As the tutor, I will sign some words and sentences while the student observes. The student will then write down what they saw me signing. (receptive)
I will also present some words and sentences to the student for them to sign (expressive)
Conclusion (5 mins)
The student will be given an opportunity to ask questions where they did not understand and also give an assignment.

I have experience in teaching sign language from the beginner level which is basic signs like finger spelling upto the proficiency level where you become fluent in signing.
