About Mia
Hi! I’m a Year 11 IB student at a selective school, where I’m also the school council president and a member of the orchestra. I love being part of a busy and supportive school community, and I’m really passionate about helping others enjoy learning as much as I do. As both a student leader and musician, I’ve developed strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills that I bring into my tutoring. I always aim to create a comfortable, encouraging environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and keep improving.

My Japanese lessons are tailored to each student’s level and goals, whether it’s improving school performance, preparing for exams, or building conversational skills. Classes focus on practical language use, clear explanations, and plenty of practice to help students gain confidence and fluency. Lessons are usually about an hour on weekdays and can run up to three hours on weekends. I aim to make each session engaging, supportive, and interactive, with opportunities to ask questions, review challenging concepts, and strengthen both reading, writing, and speaking skills.
