About Sumayya
Hi, I'm an English tutor from the UK with a real passion for language and helping people grow in confidence. As a full-time student myself, I understand how stressful learning can feel — which is why I focus on making it clear, supportive, and even enjoyable. Coming from a multicultural background, I’m familiar with the challenges of learning English in different cultural contexts, which helps me connect with students from diverse experiences. I’ve studied English language and literature in depth and have helped learners from many backgrounds — including family and friends — with everything from everyday speaking to IELTS prep. I want to create a space where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving without pressure. I’m friendly, patient, and professional — and I’m here to support you every step of the way.

My teaching style is calm, clear, and supportive, with a focus on helping you feel comfortable, ask questions, and actually enjoy the process. Whether you’re working on fluency, writing, grammar, pronunciation, or IELTS prep, I keep lessons practical and real — often using conversation, current topics, and tailored exercises to help you build confidence and make real progress. Lessons are usually 60 minutes but flexible to your needs. I’ve worked with many learners of all levels and I know how to explain things in a way that makes sense. I'm open to teens, adults, and anyone ready to improve.
