About Louis
Music is a skill that grows with the right guidance and consistent practice. As a Piano tutor with over 12 years of experience, I enjoy helping college students improve their abilities through well-planned and enjoyable lessons.
My teaching approach is based on understanding each student's learning style. I explain concepts in simple English, use practical demonstrations, and create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace.
I include innovative learning methods such as digital piano resources, listening exercises, rhythm development, ear training, and creative practice activities. These techniques make learning interesting while helping students improve both technically and musically.
Students build confidence in note reading, scales, chords, finger coordination, timing, posture, and expressive playing. I provide personalized feedback and practice suggestions that encourage continuous improvement and long-term success.

My teaching philosophy combines communication, creativity, flexibility, and positive encouragement. I believe students learn best when lessons are engaging, practical, and adapted to their individual goals. I create a comfortable environment where students feel confident to learn, ask questions, and grow steadily.
Students first develop a strong foundation through posture, hand coordination, finger exercises, rhythm, note reading, and music theory. As they improve, they continue with scales, chords, dynamics, articulation, pedal techniques, expressive playing, sight reading, and musical interpretation.
I explain every topic using demonstrations, guided practice, and real musical examples. Students receive personalized practice plans and regular feedback that encourage consistent improvement. I focus on helping students understand music rather than simply memorizing songs.
Students learn pieces from different genres while developing creativity through accompaniment, improvisation, and expressive performance. These experiences improve confidence, listening skills, and artistic expression.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard techniques, rhythm training, ear training, music theory, sight reading, music appreciation, beginner composition, and performance preparation. These related subjects help students become complete musicians.
My mission is to help students enjoy every lesson and continue growing into confident and expressive pianists.
