About Ritu

I am an experienced flute tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience, guiding school students, college learners, and working professionals. My teaching method is structured and focused on long-term improvement. I start with strong fundamentals such as breathing control, posture alignment, embouchure formation, finger coordination, and rhythm accuracy. I believe a strong base creates confident musicians. As students progress, I introduce articulation techniques, dynamics, phrasing, and expressive playing.

Along with practical flute training, I teach music theory, sight reading, scale practice, ear training, and rhythm exercises to build complete musicianship. I personalise lessons according to each student’s goals and pace.

My unique strength is helping students improve tone quality and technical clarity through focused practice methods. I also prepare students for exams, competitions, and stage performances. My aim is to make flute learning structured, enjoyable, and inspiring.

About the lesson

My flute teaching methodology is built on Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I believe every student has unique musical potential, and my role is to guide them in discovering and developing it.

At the beginning of training, I assess each student’s level, musical background, and goals. Some students prefer structured theory-based learning, while others respond better to listening and practical demonstration. I adapt my lessons accordingly to ensure clear understanding and steady progress.

In flute lessons, I emphasise correct posture, breathing techniques, embouchure strength, tone clarity, finger coordination, articulation, and rhythm control. I design exercises that strengthen the foundation before moving into advanced musical interpretation and expressive playing.

Flexibility is key in my sessions. I adjust lesson pace depending on the student’s improvement and comfort level. Whether the goal is examination preparation, performance readiness, or hobby learning, I customise the content.

Collaboration helps build confidence. I encourage students to share their musical interests and participate actively in setting goals. Positive reinforcement motivates them to practise consistently.

In addition to flute, I also teach music theory, rhythm studies, ear training, sight-reading, and performance techniques to ensure well-rounded musical development.
