About Jayne
With more than 9 years of flute teaching experience, I have worked with students from various age groups and professional backgrounds. I teach school children, college students, and working professionals who want systematic and practical training. My teaching approach is step-by-step and student-centered.
I focus on breath support, tone clarity, hand positioning, finger speed, and rhythm stability. I also teach music theory, staff notation, scale formation, improvisation basics, and ear training to strengthen overall musical understanding. I regularly monitor progress and provide detailed feedback.
My special ability is simplifying complex techniques into manageable exercises that students can practice confidently. I believe music education should build both technical skill and self-discipline.

My teaching approach for flute combines strong fundamentals with creative expression, guided by Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity.
I first focus on building a solid technical base. Students learn proper breathing control, tone production, embouchure positioning, fingering accuracy, scale patterns, and articulation techniques. Once the basics are strong, I gradually introduce musical phrasing, dynamics, and emotional interpretation.
Understanding different learning styles is important to me. I use visual diagrams, live demonstrations, slow practice breakdowns, and audio examples to help students grasp concepts clearly.
Flexibility allows me to modify lesson plans based on age, level, and learning speed. For beginners, I keep lessons simple and structured. For advanced students, I introduce challenging repertoire and performance techniques.
Collaboration creates a comfortable and engaging atmosphere. Students are encouraged to ask questions and suggest pieces they enjoy. We work together to improve both technique and musicality.
Positivity builds confidence and reduces fear of mistakes. I celebrate improvement and provide supportive feedback.
