About Cian
Hello/ Dia duit/ Hallo/ Hola! My name is Cian and I am from Killarney, Co. Kerry. I am currently studying Applied Languages at the University of Limerick. I am studying Irish and German at an advanced level, and Spanish, which I began learning in September 2025, at a beginner level . Having completed the Leaving Certificate last year, I would love to help others studying Irish and German at either Junior Cert or Leaving Cert level to achieve both their fluency and academic goals. I attended a Gaelscoil, and also went to the Dingle Gaeltacht in 2022 (Baile an Fheirtéaraigh) for two weeks, where I won best male Irish speaker. I have also spend several weeks taking part in German language exchange programmes, where I was immersed in the German/Austrian culture and German language. Language have always been a passion of mine and I would like to be able to help others improve their language skills and integrate them into their lives in a low-pressure, stress free environment.

I strongly believe in developing an understanding of language through immersion instead of "wrote learning," however I understand that the Leaving Cert tailors more to the latter, therefore I can also provide in depth grammar explanations, (proven) H1 standard notes and vocabulary on specific essay topics, Béaltriail / mündliche Prüfung practice (both general and pre-prepared sections) , resources that I used for my Leaving Cert and continue to use today. I can also correct any work that is sent to me and offer suggestions for improvement.
