About Aniekan
Hey future students, My name is Aniekan Essen-Kolo. I was born in Nigeria, and recently moved to the UK, so getting into grammar schools and improving my grades was something that was a constant focus in my mind; in order to make my parents proud. With each lesson I will help you achieve your goals and not only make your parents proud, but also yourself proud as you exceed your limits. I have completed my sixth form exams, achieving astounding results of 40/45 points, as well as achieving grade 6s (Equivalent of an A in A-level grading system) in my Higher Level Physics, Maths and Computer Science, as well as a 7 (Equivalent of an A* in A-level grading system) in Geography and English. I achieved GCSE exams, and gotten astounding results in the subject at a Higher Level (Grades 9,9,8,9 in Physics, Maths, Computing and Geography, respectfully). My first inspiration towards tutoring came from the outpouring satisfaction from the increasing remarks from friends and other acquaintances I've taught topics on. I have since then unlocked the slumbering knowledge and minds of my students allowing them to attain new heights in their academics and would love to be given the opportunity to also give you that same reward

Teaching technique: The approach that I will take will be to ascertain the kind of person the client is, and describe the problem and solution in the exact way I would want it described, whilst uplifting them to ensure they understand and stay motivated with the problems and lessons. I would initiate the problems initially, and guide the student to the solution, whilst also offering multiple similar problems and further selectively guiding through the problem, to ensure they are confident by the end of the lessons to complete the problems without my help by the end of the lesson. Further practice will be assigned as homework and problems experienced in their respective subject classes can be brought to me, in order to unravel any mysteries and offer solutions. Typical lengths of a lesson can range between 1 hour to 2 hours, just to familiarise the client with the topics and ensure they are confident that they can answer similar problems and questions, and in the most efficient fashion. I have completed my GCSEs and achieved astounding results in the subjects that I will be tutoring (Physics, Maths, Computing and Geography with Grades 9,9,8,9. respectfully). I have had an adequate experience as a tutor, as during exam revision with classmates, I was able to ascertain their levels and bolster their confidence through simplifying the solution and offering alternative thinking pathways to a solution, which worked tremendously, and helped those students achieve higher prospective grades. Furthermore, this has aided in the improvements of two students of mine. My lessons will be particularly targeted at students at ages 11-16 as are either starting their secondary school work and working towards, or have started their GCSE experiences and will welcome a friendly aid to boost their grades and understanding.
