About Jai Kiran
Academically, I achieved 11 Grade 9s at GCSE, A*s in Chemistry and Psychology at A-Level, alongside an A in History and an A* in my EPQ. I recently graduated from Warwick Law School with a First-Class degree. During my degree, I particularly focused on family and child law, international human rights law and property law, achieving First-Class marks across these areas, including grades ranging from 74 to 82.
Alongside my academic experience, I have completed legal and professional placements across organisations including Citizens Advice, legal pro bono clinics and Bank of America. I have secured a commercial law training contract with Clyde & Co, and have also progressed to the final stages of recruitment processes with leading firms including Hogan Lovells Cadwalader and Charles Russell Speechlys. This has given me first-hand experience of a wide range of commercial law application processes, including written applications, online assessments, video interviews and assessment centres.

Hi, I’m Kiran. I primarily support students applying for commercial law vacation schemes and training contracts, including application reviews, Watson Glaser and situational judgement test preparation, video interview practice and assessment centre preparation. I also offer coursework review for undergraduate law students, particularly in family law, child law, and land law.
I have several years of tutoring and mentoring experience across different academic levels. I previously worked as a GCSE Mathematics tutor, supporting students in progressing from Grade 4 level to Grades 7–9, and I have also tutored A-Level Chemistry.
Over the past two years, I have increasingly focused on mentoring students through commercial law recruitment processes. This has included reviewing written applications, helping students strengthen their commercial awareness, preparing for psychometric tests and practising interviews and assessment centres. Students I have supported have successfully progressed through different stages of the recruitment process and gone on to secure training contracts at leading law firms.
My approach is supportive but detailed. I focus on helping students understand how to improve their own work or performance, rather than simply telling them what to write or say. Whether reviewing a law application, preparing for an assessment centre or improving academic coursework, I aim to give practical, specific feedback that students can apply independently in future.

I know Kiran from university and she’s helped me a lot with my Law modules, particularly when I was struggling with assignments I wasn’t too confident in. She’s really good at explaining things clearly without making you feel stupid for not understanding them straight away! She’s hardworking, patient and genuinely enjoys helping people. Her support made me much more confident with my work, and I ended up getting a First in the modules she helped me with. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a friendly and supportive tutor :)
Having studied alongside Kiran, I can vouch for just how incredible she is. She consistently operates at the standard of a First Class graduate and has an amazing work ethic.
She’s always deeply committed to legal volunteering and pro bono work, and as a future trainee, her understanding of commercial law and early careers is invaluable. Kiran knows exactly what it takes to succeed and will be an incredible mentor for any law student. Couldn't recommend her more!
I met Jai Kiran at uni and she’s a very friendly and caring person. She’s guided me throughout uni keeping me on top of assignments and has led study sessions for our friends. She’s always been a person I look for advice in law and is genuinely a hardworking person. I would recommend her as she is non-judgemental and helpful in all aspects.
