About Anastasia

Hi :) My name is Ana and I'm a recent mechanical engineering graduate. I have been teaching kickboxing and swimming for around 8 years, so I have teaching experience, but now I have the availability and time to tutor academic subjects.

I genuinely enjoy teaching - I volunteered as a kickboxing and swimming teacher for several years and had a great time, I love sharing my passion and helping students become better, it's so rewarding. I like to tailor my lessons to the student personally, focusing on their weaknesses and based on the way they like to learn understand concepts, and this has helped me create useful and effective lessons.

About the lesson

I use a practical, hands-on teaching style to help students understand both the supporting theory as well as the methodology used to complete a question successfully. I am open to different lesson requirements based on the student's preferences, and am flexible with timings.

I am qualified in kickboxing and swimming teaching currently, so am meticulous with detail and encourage resilience and perseverance from all students. I tutored my friends at university and am able to cater to people with different learning styles.

I would say that my lessons are aimed at GCSE age and younger. I would consider teaching A Level Maths or Physics, or even Engineering based modules for university students. I have a first-class mechanical engineering degree and am starting a full-time role with Jaguar Land Rover - I am looking to help students as a tutor over summer.

Anastasia tutored me for 3 months before i took my Maths GCSE and i couldn’t have done it without her! She was so understanding and helped me out on parts I was really struggling to get down well. She always pushed me to try complete questions and tasks on my own and was always there when i needed help on the ones I couldn’t do by myself!
