About Holly~Alice

I have been playing the harp since 2012 and music has become part of huge part of who I am. I also play piano and violin. I strongly believe that everyone should have access to a musical education and it would be a privilege to facilitate this for you. I have years of experience teaching students in both one-to-one and group scenarios. I am more than happy to create individually tailored lessons and musical arrangements and to work with your speed of learning and interests. You can learn from written music or, if it suits you better, I can help you to learn pieces by ear.

About the lesson

I can use the skills I have gained throughout my degree in ‘Harp Performance’ at the Royal Northern College of Music and my own personal experience of teaching harp to tailor our lessons to enable you to become a successful and confident performer. Lessons can be either 30mins or an hour, depending on your preference. I am happy to teach all ages and all abilities as long as you are enthusiastic and keen to learn. Not everyone wants the pressure of doing exam grades, that’s fine too… so if you prefer, we can just learn pieces that you like. I’m more than happy to help you learn whatever genre you want to play, whether it is classical, folk, jazz, easy listening, country or heavy metal!

Perfect! Holly-Alice is one of the best teachers that I’ve met here so far! She’s such a sweet person :) which immediately eased my nerves haha just because I’m still new to harp and I didn’t know what to expect. I’m really glad that we went through two pieces of music together as well as some finger exercises. That was all super helpful! I feel like we all need teachers like Holly-Alice just so we don’t feel as bad when stepping out of the comfort zone in class! Id highly recommend taking lessons with her :)
