About James
I am a recent graduate of the University of Cambridge with an MPhil in English studies and the University of St Andrews with a first class undergraduate degree and the Tom Durrheim Memorial Prize. I am an experienced and confident tutor capable of elevating students essay writing, exam technique and analysis of literary, philosophical and historical texts.
I am friendly and approachable tutor and encourage prospective students of all levels and ages (Primary - GCSE - A Level) to reach out for a taster session.

My lessons range from 30-90 minutes, and my lessons combine problem-based learning, traditional learning techniques and exam skills to prepare students for examinations and university. I have achieved the highest marks (first class, distinction) at both undergraduate and graduate levels and am well prepared to help students of all levels develop their work in English and other essay writing subjects.
