About Annabel

I am a Fine Art graduate currently working as an English Language Assistant. While volunteering as a tutor at Uni, I found that I enjoy sharing knowledge and helping people to learn new things. I was very unsure about what I wanted to study at Uni and was overwhelmed by the different options. I now have a good understanding of the differences between the disciplines of Art and Design and want to help other students become clearer.

About the lesson

I start the session by asking for your current situation, what you're studying now and what you would like to do in the future.
We can then discuss your options, such as further study. Looking at the differences between Fine Art, Illustration, Graphic Design, Concept Art, Animation, etc.
After this we can discuss portfolios and/or interview prep

A discussion about different disciplines would last 35-45 minutes.
A discussion about portfolios/interviews would last 45mins - 1hour.

I am a recent Fine Art graduate from Newcastle University. While at Uni I worked as a student ambassador for my course, answering students' and parents' questions about the course and the admissions process. I also participated in interviewing applicants to our school and reviewing their portfolios. Before Uni, I did an Art Foundation at Brighton Met, where I was introduced to the different disciplines of Art and Design, such as Graphics and Textiles.

My lessons are for anyone considering going to Art School.

I have known Annabel for her whole life as I have been friends with her mother since we were both 14.

I have observed Annabel to be very hard working and conscientious. When she was at University she also acted as a Student Ambassador volunteer. She worked during her vacation as an Activity Leader for the Barracudas Activity Day Camps, teaching young children. She put time and effort into providing the kids with high quality care during the holidays.

As a Student she also took on additional courses to develop her skills like learning French.

I think Annabel would make an excellent Tutor, she would take time to understand her tutees and make sure that she helped them achieve their desired skills level.

I have no hesitation in recommending her.
