About Sofia
Sofia has trained and been recognized for her dancing in programs all around the world including: Orsolina 28, BalletBC 44, The School at Jacob's Pillow: Contemporary Program, A.I.M. By Kyle Abraham, GALLIM, MOVE NYC, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, BODYTRAFFIC, FLOCKWORKS Summer Program and more. Sofia is currently earning a BFA in dance at SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance, and will be studying abroad at renowned K-Arts University in Korea for the upcoming semester. Sofia is also part of the Composition Concentration for choreography at SUNY Purchase, and studies extensively in creation. Sofia is very passionate about choreographing and has a strong love for movement exploration and improv. She has professional dance experience and trained in professional level classes her final two years of high school and beyond.

Sofia has extensive experience training in a plethora of styles including Ballet/Pointe Contemporary,Modern (Graham, Cunningham, Horton), Gaga, Improvisation, Jazz, Lyrical, Character, Hip-Hop, Choreography, and Partnering/ Contact Improvisation.
Sofia is open to any type of lesson you may desire to help you become your best, most expressive and creative self. She specializes in improvisation and movement generation, yet also has a strong technical foundation that can be used to help train and strengthen a student’s abilities.
She can also aid in strength and stability, offering a session for pilates based conditioning for increased mobility and strength while dancing!
