About Juanita

Hi, I’m Juanita.
I’ve worked in accounting and finance for close to 20 years and have been a qualified CPA for over 15 years. Over that time, I’ve seen how many students struggle with accounting, not because it’s too difficult, but because it’s often not explained in a way that makes sense.

That’s really why I started tutoring. I enjoy helping students break things down into simple, practical steps so it actually clicks. Many of my students come in feeling stuck or overwhelmed, and once we work through things together, they start to feel much more confident approaching their exams. Often, it’s not just their results that improve, but how they feel about the subject as a whole.

In my career, I’ve also trained and supported people from junior accountants through to finance managers, so teaching has always been a big part of what I do. I focus on explaining things clearly and making sure you understand the “why”, not just the answer.

I teach both VCE and university students, and I tailor each lesson to what you need, whether that’s building your foundation, working through assignments, or preparing for exams.

About the lesson

My approach is focused on helping students truly understand accounting rather than just memorizing steps.

I teach VCE and university students, and I adapt each lesson based on where you are currently at. Some students need help building foundations, while others need support with assignments or exam preparation. I take the time to explain concepts in plain English and use real-world examples so things actually make sense.

A typical lesson runs for 60 minutes and is structured but flexible. We can work through your school material, past exam questions, or areas you find challenging. I also make sure you understand the “why” behind each concept, not just the answer.

With my background as a Financial Controller, I bring practical insight into how accounting works in real businesses, which helps bridge the gap between theory and application.

My lessons are suited for VCE students and university students who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or want clearer explanations and more confidence.
