About Tilly
I studied English Literature and English Language at GCSE, achieving a grade 9 in both subjects (dropping minimal marks in each). I continued this study into A Level, achieving an A* in each subject. As a result, I received an offer to study English Language and Literature (with a greater focus on the latter) from the University of Oxford, from which I am soon to graduate. I have an offer from the University of St Andrews to study a Masters degree in English Literature, too. I want to support students of English Literature and Language, whether they intend to take this further than compulsory education or not. I truly believe an enjoyment of literature (reading and writing in any capacity) is one of the most important, rewarding, and fulfilling aspects of personal development, as well as a greater understanding of the world not necessarily accessible through other forms of media. Having written a 6,000-word essay, a Shakespeare portfolio of three 2,000-word essays, an 8,000 word dissertation, and four 3 hour 45 minute examinations at the end of my degree, I have ample experience in essay writing at GCSE to degree level, and can adapt to individual requirements.
