About Sharon

I'm a fourth year engineering student at the University of Waterloo. I have been tutoring students since middle school. I have experience teaching students from grade 1 to grade 12. I have helped students who were on the brink of failing their courses receive exceptional grades. I have previously been commended on my ability to convey difficult concepts in a manner that is easy to understand for the student.

Throughout my university years, I have been the student that my peers turn to for help on their math courses. I am well versed but not limited to calculus (differentiation - ODEs and PDEs, integration, optimization, numerical modelling), advanced functions, statistics and vectors.

For my younger students, I have experience teaching integers, geometry, algebra and probability, just to name a few.

About the lesson

I offer a free consultation and a free class so that you know exactly what kind of help and support you would be receiving.

During my consultation, I take special care to dive into your needs and understand what it is that you are trying to accomplish. I am happy to answer any questions that you might have during this session.

I will utilize the results of the consultation to tailor a lesson plan to your needs. I am quite flexible in terms of lesson plans. I can teach anywhere from a couple of chapters in your curriculum/course to a specific concept that you need more help with. I can also help you with homework assignments and any specific math problems that you may have.

I then conduct a free class with this lesson plan. The purpose of this free class is to ensure that you are truly satisfied with my teaching style and pace and most importantly, that I am providing you with the support that you need. I am always open to feedback and in modifying my approach to suit your needs.

If you choose to proceed with me after the free class, we can work out a plan and schedule that works for the both of us. If you decide however, that I am not a good fit for you, no problem at all! I will not charge you anything and I wish you the very best in your journey to find a tutor.
