About George
I am a multi-award winning filmmaker willing to share my knowledge of industry craft and practice with the next generation of aspiring filmmakers. My area of specialism covers a broad range of filmmaking skills, so I can help improve and develop your filmmaking talent, as well as preparing you for long and successful career in the film industry. I graduated from UWE Film School (2nd best in the UK at time of graduation) with a First Class Honours, winning "best editor" and "best young filmmaker" in the process. I'm happy to work with students of all ages, genders and races - the only requirement is a thirst for knowledge and a hard-working approach to learning new ideas and concepts.

My approach to teaching is hugely practical - who wants to read about cinematic theorem when you can show it? For this reason I choose to use real-world case studies from successful films/filmmakers to teach my pupils, breaking down and analysing the most impactful and effective examples of cinematic storytelling. I've found that this hands-on approach is far easier to consume, as well as being more interactive and enjoyable for the student. It's surprising how quickly students can learn these "complicated" techniques when they're broken down and taught properly. However, this may not always be the most suitable approach for an individual, so the lesson plans are always constructed with the student - ensuring that the method of teaching is the most appropriate for their learning habits.
