Quick results alongside a firm foundation. Consult this former NYU Adjunct Instructor to set a clear goal and expectations at the beginning and work to achieve that. Goals can be adjusted, extended, or renewed as we progress.
To get the most out of lessons, finish a weekly assignment before class and get professional critiques in class and learn how to improve things.
Ask to learn about fundamentals of composition, music theory, orchestration (classical orchestra, chamber, wind ensemble, film scoring), and notation.
Or for a more contemporary workflow, music mockups and sequencing in Logic, using sample libraries, getting realistic MIDI, recording live instruments/vocals, audio editing, mixing, and mastering.
Open to any experience level.

Danny taught me orchestration as a supplement to my college classes. He taught me so much more than the professor could explain in a much shorter time. He doesn't only talk about boring textbook stuff, but really knows the different styles of composers and how to achieve those sounds. He knows a lot about each instrument and makes you think in each person's point of view sitting in the orchestra. Really helpful!
Danny is a great teacher, he taught at NYU as Adjunct Faculty. He's really fun, but somehow leads me to memorize concepts without me even knowing it! He's very detailed and has very real world tips and advice that are hard to get from textbooks. He definitely know's what he's talking about
