About Desmond Dass

I am a FIDE-rated chess player (1444) with 11 years of playing experience and 9 years of coaching experience. I have competed in various levels of tournaments like zonal, district, state, and FIDE-rated; gaining deep insights into competitive chess. As a coach, I have trained kids, adults, beginners, and intermediate players, helping them improve their game strategically. Many of my students have qualified for university competitions, South Zone university tournaments, and won local events. I teach both online and offline ensuring interactive and practical learning. I provide structured lessons covering opening principles, tactical and strategic play, understanding the board, middlegame planning, endgame techniques and other concepts. I also help students with game analysis, tournament preparation, and overall improvement strategies tailored to their skill level and goals.
