About MUHAMMED

Am Muhammed Abdulwahab by name, I base in Sokoto Nigeria where I manage a fashion house. I have interest in impacting what I have learned over the years and know how to do best which is fashion design, into young individuals.

About the lesson

As a private tutor in fashion design, my goal is to empower each student to form of art but also a language of self-expression, culture, and innovation. My approach is highly individualized, practical, and industry-informed, tailored to meet the unique goals, skill levels, and learning styles of each student. My Tutoring Philosophy • Creative Confidence: I focus on building students’ confidence in their ideas and abilities, encouraging experimentation and original thinking. • Foundational Skills + Innovation: I teach both the core technical skills (e.g., sketching, pattern-making, sewing, digital tools like CLO 3D or Adobe Illustrator) and guide students on how to push boundaries with new ideas and concepts. • Process over Perfection: I emphasize the importance of the design process—research, inspiration, sketching, prototyping, and critique—over just the final product. • Industry Insights: With real-world experience, I offer guidance on portfolio development, brand identity, trend forecasting, sustainability, and fashion business essentials. ‍ Who I Teach • Beginners: Learn the fundamentals of fashion design in a supportive, step-by-step structure. • Intermediate/Advanced Designers: Strengthen technique, develop a personal style, or build a competitive portfolio for college or industry. • Aspiring Fashion Entrepreneurs: Turn your fashion ideas into a brand, with support on collection planning, branding, and business strategy. ️ How I Teach • One-on-One Sessions: Tailored to your pace and goals, whether you're preparing for fashion school or launching a capsule collection. • Project-Based Learning: We work on real design projects to build practical skills and create portfolio-worthy work. • Critique & Feedback: I provide constructive, honest critique to help students grow as designers. • Flexible Formats: In-person or online tutoring, using shared mood boards, sketches, digital tools, or physical samples.
