About Lee-Anne

I have worked as a Fashion designer assistant, I have worked for a non-profit organization that helps teach ladies in underprivileged areas how to sew so they can make an income for themselves and I currently work as a CAD Digital pattern maker for a large South African Company. I have a Degree in Fashion Design from the University of Johannesburg. With over 15 years in the industry, I have learned a lot and would love to teach you!

About the lesson

Most students have an idea of what they want to create but have no idea where to begin. That is where I come in. I can teach you how to take a picture or an idea and how to develop the pattern, what fabrics to use and why. Techniques to use in bespoke items vs mass production. The different types of machines you use for different fabric applications. If you want regular weekly lessons for beginners on how to make a pattern and to thread a sewing machine and then sew up a simple item etc, I am able to help with that. Or if you need someone to show you how to make a pattern for a tailored coat that you like and how to lay it up to cut and what fusing to use on different fabrics and how to sew it up and press it - I can help with that too.
