About Rosa

In May 2018 I graduated with BA hons in Design (1st) fromThe University of Edinburgh, and was named one of the top 25 graduates at Graduate Fashion Week in London, and was a finalist for the ASOS portfolio award.

Here, I was headhunted to join the womenswear design team at John Lewis & Partners. Throughout my career in design I have developed my skills in research, CAD, print & graphic design; including programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign. During my studies we focussed heavily on hand-drawn illustrations, design style, creating a fluid and unique aesthetic, creative pattern cutting and print & textile design. As well as developing a diverse portfolio, I handcrafted a 6-outfit collection that included accessories for Graduate Fashion Week in London.

About the lesson

I am happy to help students and individuals at all stages wishing to pursue a career in design; whether that be creating a portfolio for a university application, university coursework or applying for a fashion design job. I teach mostly online and remotely but I am happy to meet in person if you are based in central Scotland.

I love to guide students to their full potential, by highlighting their strengths and any gaps in their portfolios. I have 2+ years of experience working in the industry since graduating first working for the womenswear department in John Lewis and then working as a graphic and product designer for a smaller Scottish start-up. I am very open to sharing my fashion contacts and advice.
