About Hila
I am a passionate piano tutor with over 12+ years of teaching experience, working with students of all ages, from school and college learners to working professionals. I believe that learning piano is not just about playing notes—it is about understanding music, building confidence, and expressing creativity.
My teaching approach focuses on patience, clear communication, and personalised learning. I take the time to understand each student’s goals, strengths, and challenges, and then create a tailored lesson plan that helps them progress step by step. I emphasise strong fundamentals such as finger technique, rhythm, sight-reading, and musical expression, while also introducing advanced concepts when students are ready.
Alongside piano practice, I incorporate music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to develop a holistic understanding of music. I use practical examples, creative exercises, and song-based learning to make lessons engaging and meaningful.
One of my key strengths is simplifying complex musical concepts, helping students overcome challenges and stay motivated. I also focus on building effective practice habits and discipline, ensuring that every student can achieve steady improvement. My ultimate goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident, inspired, and excited to explore their musical journey.

My teaching methodology focuses on engaging, flexible, and creative lessons. I believe piano lessons should inspire confidence, foster creativity, and develop technical skills while remaining fun and motivating. Through consistent communication, I understand each student’s goals, strengths, and learning style, which allows me to design lessons that are personalised, effective, and enjoyable.
Creativity is central to my approach. Students are encouraged to improvise, compose, and explore different musical genres, fostering originality, artistic confidence, and self-expression. Flexibility ensures lessons are adapted to the student’s pace, skill level, and learning preferences, making progress smooth, productive, and rewarding.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This integrated methodology strengthens technical mastery, expressive ability, and musical understanding. My aim is to cultivate confident, creative, and lifelong musicians.
