All this said, sometimes the answer is in a book. It's my job to know the difference, and your job to learn how to do this for yourself. Don't worry, I'm here to help guide you on this. I know what it's like to speak multiple languages AND to feel like a foreign person inside a country that's not "your own." Most importantly, I know what it's like to want to have more autonomy and independence over a "foreign" language.

Currently, I live between the US and France. Yes, I do speak French, in addition to Mandarin Chinese.

Outside of languages, my professional career has spanned a number of different sectors. I've worked for the U.S. Federal Government as a Policy Specialist, been in and out of the startup world as a UX/Product Designer, and have had the pleasure of trying my hand at just about everything in between.

I hold 2 Bachelor's degrees (one in Biopsychology, the other in Dance Studies), 1 Master's degree (in Biological Neuroscience), and I decided to leave the toxicity of academic research before receiving my Ph.D. I did, however, leave with all my knowledge of scientific writing perfectly intact.
