About Carter
With 12 years of experience as a piano teacher, I have committed myself to guiding young musicians towards excellence. I teach both school and college students, providing personalised attention and structured lesson plans. My passion for education encourages me to continuously improve my teaching strategies and support my students effectively.
Over the years, I have achieved important milestones by preparing students for recitals and academic performances where they showcased their skills confidently. Watching students overcome stage fear and grow into confident performers has been the most rewarding part of my career.
I focus on developing strong technical foundations, rhythm precision, and expressive interpretation. I believe consistent practice, patience, and encouragement lead to lasting success. My aim is not only to create skilled pianists but also to shape confident and responsible individuals.

My piano teaching methodology is centred on creating confident, skilled, and expressive musicians. I begin by assessing each student’s abilities, goals, and learning style, then design personalised lesson plans that include technical exercises, chord and scale practice, rhythm drills, and performance preparation.
Motivation is essential; I help students stay engaged by setting achievable goals, providing continuous encouragement, and celebrating progress. Communication is structured and interactive, ensuring students understand note reading, finger coordination, dynamics, tempo, phrasing, and expressive interpretation.
Integrity guides my teaching, with well-prepared lessons, consistent progress monitoring, and honest feedback. Creativity is developed through improvisation, composing simple pieces, and exploring different musical genres. Alongside piano, I also teach sight reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and music theory to provide a strong and complete musical foundation.
