About Kehinde

I'm Kehinde (Kenny for short), a versatile web professional specializing in both WordPress website creation and custom full-stack development. For over five years, I've helped clients establish their online presence—some needing quick, professional WordPress sites, others requiring sophisticated custom applications built from scratch.

My Diverse Web Experience:
My portfolio spans the full spectrum of web work. I've built WordPress sites for churches managing 700+ members' online donations, created custom learning platforms serving 600+ students during the pandemic, developed e-commerce solutions with payment integration, and designed content management systems for educational institutions. Whether clients need a polished website this month or a complex web application, I deliver solutions that work.

Why I Teach Both WordPress and Development:
Many people assume you must choose between "easy WordPress" or "hard coding," but the web industry isn't that simple. WordPress powers 40+ percent of websites globally—it's a legitimate, valuable skill. Yet understanding HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend development opens doors WordPress alone cannot. I teach both because different goals require different tools, and understanding the full landscape makes you more capable regardless of your path.

From Science to Web Technology:
My unconventional background includes a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, where I learned systematic problem-solving, attention to detail, and analytical thinking. These scientific skills translate beautifully to web work—debugging code requires the same methodical approach as diagnosing bacterial cultures. This journey from science to technology taught me that anyone can learn these skills with proper guidance, patience, and practice.

Teaching Throughout My Career:
I've mentored university students through academic challenges, organized tutorials for hundreds of learners, and recently delivered virtual instruction that earned consistent positive feedback. Teaching isn't supplementary income—it's work I find genuinely fulfilling. Watching students build their first functional website or finally understand JavaScript closures brings me real joy.

Technical Expertise:
For WordPress students, I cover site setup, theme customization, plugin selection and configuration, page builders, SEO optimization, security best practices, and ongoing maintenance. For development students, my expertise includes JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, Express, Python, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, Git, Docker, and cloud deployment on platforms like AWS and Vercel. I understand both the no-code and full-code approaches.

Continuous Professional Growth:
I prioritize staying current. Web technologies evolve constantly—frameworks update, best practices shift, new tools emerge. I continuously learn so my students receive relevant, modern instruction rather than outdated information.

My Teaching Values:
Effective teaching requires empathy, patience, and meeting students where they are. I don't mock "beginner" questions or rush through foundational concepts. Your WordPress site matters just as much as someone else's React application—every project deserves quality guidance. I celebrate progress at every level, from launching your first blog to deploying your first full-stack app.

Real-World Perspective:
Having worked internationally including with US-based accessibility-focused nonprofits, I bring practical industry knowledge. I share insights about what makes websites professional, what employers seek in developers, how to structure portfolios, and which skills open the most opportunities. You're learning from someone actively working in the field, not just teaching theory.

Who Benefits from Working with Me:
- Business owners needing websites without learning to code
- Bloggers wanting beautiful, functional WordPress sites
- Aspiring developers building tech careers
- Students stuck on assignments needing clear explanations
- WordPress users wanting customization beyond plugins
- Anyone seeking patient, judgment-free instruction

Whether you want to launch a website next week or start a five-year journey toward becoming a senior developer, I'll support you with expertise, encouragement, and practical guidance every step of the way.

My lessons are designed to get you building websites quickly while understanding the technology behind them. Whether you want to create a WordPress site this week or learn full-stack development for a tech career, I'll tailor our sessions to your specific goals.

How We'll Work Together:
Sessions typically last 60-90 minutes and combine hands-on practice with clear explanations. For WordPress students, you'll learn to build professional websites without writing code. For web development students, you'll master HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and backend technologies. Many students start with WordPress and later transition to custom development as their ambitions grow.

My Approach to Teaching:
I meet you at your current level and adapt to your learning pace. If you're a business owner needing a website fast, we'll focus on WordPress, themes, plugins, and creating professional results efficiently. If you're pursuing a development career, we'll build strong fundamentals in JavaScript, Python, frameworks, databases, and deployment. I explain concepts in plain English, avoiding unnecessary jargon while ensuring you understand what's happening behind the scenes.

Three Learning Paths I Offer:
1. Website Creation (WordPress Focus) - Build professional websites using WordPress, customize themes, use plugins effectively, manage content, optimize for search engines, and maintain your site confidently. Perfect for entrepreneurs, bloggers, small business owners, or anyone needing an online presence quickly.

2. Web Development Fundamentals - Learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, and modern frameworks. Build custom websites from scratch, understand how the web works, and create interactive applications. Ideal for beginners starting a tech career or students needing coursework help.

3. Full-Stack Development - Master frontend (React, JavaScript, TypeScript) and backend (Node.js, Express, databases) development. Build complete applications with authentication, APIs, database integration, and cloud deployment. Perfect for serious career changers or developers filling knowledge gaps.

Who I Teach:
- Entrepreneurs and business owners wanting professional websites
- Complete beginners exploring tech
- Students needing assignment help
- Career switchers entering the industry
- WordPress users wanting deeper customization control
- Developers expanding their skill set
- Anyone age 12+ with motivation to learn

Why My Teaching Works:
I've built everything from simple WordPress sites to complex full-stack applications serving thousands of users. I've worked with educational institutions, nonprofits, churches, and startups across multiple countries including US-based organizations. This diverse experience means I understand both the "quick website" needs and the "serious developer career" path—and everything in between.

You'll receive code reviews, resource recommendations, and support between sessions. WordPress students get guidance on choosing hosting, themes, and plugins. Development students learn professional workflows, debugging strategies, and Git version control. Everyone learns to solve problems independently while knowing I'm available for help.

Teaching Language: English (native fluency)
Time Zone Flexibility: Available for US, European, and Asian schedules
Tools We'll Use: Zoom/Google Meet for lessons, screen sharing for demonstrations, collaborative coding tools, and WordPress/development environments
