About Brielle
I am a violin tutor with 7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Early Music with a Baroque Violin Focus. I have taught over 250 students from young beginners to advanced performers. My teaching covers bowing technique, vibrato, intonation, phrasing, and musical expression across classical and baroque repertoire. I prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity examinations and offer orchestral preparation. My approach is patient, methodical, and adapted to each student's pace and goals. I have helped students achieve excellent examination results and join youth orchestras. Let me help you develop a strong expressive violin technique and a lifelong love of music.

My violin lessons are carefully planned to develop strong healthy technique and genuine musical understanding simultaneously from the very first lesson. Every session starts with a posture and bow hold review followed by warm-up scales and targeted bowing exercises. I emphasise bow technique strongly from the earliest stages as it most directly impacts tone quality and musical expression. Intonation is developed through systematic scale work, careful listening, and consistent tuning technology use. Exam students follow the required syllabus closely with regular mock assessments and detailed feedback on all components. Advanced students work on shifting, vibrato depth, double stopping, and developing a personal expressive voice. Backing tracks develop ensemble awareness and rhythmic sensitivity. For orchestral students I provide sight-reading coaching and ensemble skills development. Clear specific feedback is given after every performance so students have actionable goals. My goal is for every student to develop a confident technique and enduring love of the violin.
