About Anna-Liisa

I teach Politics A-Level at the TES best state school in the UK and have a history of fantastic progress with students, expert teaching and top grades. Last year I tutored a student from a C to an A* in 6 sessions. Additional revision resources are provided to work on outside of sessions. I'm a compassionate teacher with high standards and SEND informed. I got my PGCE from the Institute for Education at UCL. I have an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Leiden University, The Netherlands + 6 months studying alternative education. Prior to this I did a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a specialism in Global Politics. I’m also a semi-professional singer.

About the lesson

Sessions typically are 2 hours with an hour in between for the student to write for 45minutes and have a 15minute break. In the first half we review content and plan an essay, students then write the essay. We then spend the latter hour perfecting the essay and tidying up any misconceptions. This method has proved very successful in the past but accommodations can be made to meet the needs of students and their schedule. Lessons are only taught online. Students will get revision resources to take away and work on for the following session.
