Miguel mixes the typical songs from a book with extra enrichment activities, such as including some music theory and encouraging my son to make up his own songs and write them down on staff paper. Miguel is a very humble, nice, knowledgeable, and professional individual. My 11 year old daughter was fearful of having her first saxophone lesson, as she thought her teacher would be mean and unpleasant. However, once she met & received instructions from Miguel, her fear was gone and she was & is extremely excited to have him as her instructor. His poise and professionalism made me, as a father, feel very comfortable and reassured as to his ability to not only provide instructions for my daughter on the sax, but myself on the keyboard.
