About Ellie
I am a committed flute tutor with 7 years of experience and a successful track record of teaching around 150 students across various skill levels. My approach to teaching is systematic, supportive, and goal-oriented. I focus on core techniques such as breath control, embouchure stability, tone refinement, finger agility, and rhythmic precision. In addition to technical training, I help students understand musical interpretation, dynamics, and expressive playing.
I create customised lesson plans that align with each student’s objectives, whether they are preparing for performances, exams, or personal development. I provide practical exercises and clear guidance to ensure measurable progress. One of my unique abilities is motivating students to stay consistent and confident, even when learning challenging pieces.

My teaching approach for flute combines structured practice with creative development. I adapt lessons according to individual strengths and areas that need improvement.
I begin with fundamental exercises in breath control, tone production, and posture alignment. Gradually, I introduce finger techniques, articulation drills, and scale studies. Students are guided to practise with discipline and focus.
I also teach related subjects including music theory, rhythm analysis, sight-reading, and ear training. This integrated approach ensures complete musical growth.
Flexibility allows me to adjust lesson content depending on performance goals or examination preparation. Collaboration is encouraged through regular progress reviews and musical discussions. I maintain a positive and motivating environment that inspires consistent effort. My objective is to develop technically strong and creatively expressive flute musicians.
