My Teaching Approach & Methodology
I believe that learning the guitar should be as engaging as it is practical. My teaching method is deeply student-friendly and practice-based. Instead of overwhelming you with dry, abstract theory, we learn by doing. Every theoretical concept is immediately applied to the fretboard. I use continuous, practice-based assessments rather than rigid testing, ensuring you are actually developing muscle memory, ear training, and musical intuition at your own natural pace.
How a Typical Class is Structured
To maximize our time together, I structure each session to balance technique with real-world application:
Warm-up & Technique (10 mins): Finger exercises, scales, and picking techniques to build stamina and precision.
Review & Assessment (15 mins): A practical review of what you practiced during the week. This is where I assess your progress and correct any habits before they set in.
Core Lesson (20 mins): Introducing a new concept, technique, or song. We break it down step-by-step so it’s easily digestible.
Application & Jam (15 mins): We play together. This builds your confidence in playing with others, focusing on timing, rhythm, and improvisation.
