About Peter
I have a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Emerson College and have written at several national news outlets — including The Boston Globe, The Associated Press, and The Washington Times.
I also help teach writing at a local middle school in the Boston area.
I've written everything from short news articles to 30+ page essays and everything in between, and I want to inspire students to love writing as much as I do.
Developing as a writer can take time, and I value creating a connection with students and helping guide them through what can be a complicated process.

I can teach basic writing and English skills at any level, but I am best at helping students tailor their writing approach and style to the specific assignment.
I begin by helping the student understand exactly what their assignment requires based on who is reading their work, lay out an outline for how they will achieve it, and slowly guide them through the process.
Some assignments may not be completed in one tutoring session, so in that case, I make sure to leave the student with a specific plan of attack before the session ends.
I am happy to look over students' work and help with quick edits at any time via email — it never hurts to have a copy editor!
