About Evan

I’m a professional violinist with over a decade of teaching experience. I’ve performed as a soloist and orchestral musician, and I bring that real-world standard into every lesson. My training at the National Music Academy of Ukraine shaped a strong technical foundation that I now pass on to my students.

I work especially well with intermediate and advanced players who want to move beyond “playing the notes” and start performing with control, confidence, and clarity. I also have experience guiding small-handed violinists, helping them develop smart fingerings and efficient technique that fit their physiology rather than fighting against it.

My teaching style is structured, detail-oriented, and supportive. I value precision, musical depth, and honest feedback — but always within a respectful, encouraging environment. Students can expect clear goals, organized practice direction, and high professional standards.

Whether you are preparing for auditions, competitions, college portfolios, or simply aiming to reach a higher artistic level, I am committed to helping you progress with focus and purpose.

About the lesson

Whether you’re preparing for auditions, competitions, orchestra placement, or simply want to reach a higher level of playing, my lessons are structured to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
I combine strong technical foundations with detailed musical work. We focus on intonation, bow control, sound production, shifting, vibrato, and clean left-hand technique — but always in service of musical expression. Technique is never isolated from the music itself.

Each lesson is personalized. Some students need intensive audition preparation, others need long-term technical rebuilding, and some need guidance overcoming physical challenges such as tension or small hand size. I adapt the plan to your specific goals and physiology.

Beyond mechanics, I also work on stage presence and mental focus. Auditions and performances require calm concentration and self-trust. We prepare not only the piece, but the performer.

Lessons are available in person and online. I work with intermediate and advanced students, serious young musicians, and dedicated adults who want structured, high-level guidance in a supportive, focused environment.
