About Maria
I have been playing the violin for 25 years and teaching for the last 12 years. I am a Bachelors and Masters graduate from the Royal College of Music, London. I have experience preparing students for both ABRSM and Trinity grades and had very successful results manifesting in merit and distinctions. I have also done my fair share of auditions (both for colleges and for orchestral jobs), and I would be very happy to help you prepare for those too.

I like to bring the attention to exercising focus and playing without tension, as this will give you a foundation for a happy music-making experience and can help you with overall focus and awareness of yourself. Learning the right technique is fundamental to violin playing and I believe learning the basics in the right way will make you be able to play whatever pieces you desire.
