About Molara

With over 20 years’ experience in the creative industries, I bring a depth of real-world insight alongside a genuine passion for English, history, and academic study. My career has refined my ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and adapt to complex demands—skills I help students develop with confidence.

I take a thoughtful, tailored approach to tutoring, combining creativity with academically rigorous methods developed during my PGCE at UCL’s Institute of Education. As a qualified lecturer and former course leader, I have supported students across schools, colleges, and universities, and understand how to guide each individual towards meaningful progress and long-term success.

I continue to work professionally within the creative industries, ensuring my teaching remains current, relevant, and grounded in real-world experience. I am passionate about working with different students, interested in their interests and motivations and supportive in ensuring that they make the best possible progress.

About the lesson

I offer a supportive, structured approach that builds confidence as well as results. Whether students need help improving grades, developing academic skills, developing a strong Art & Design portfolio, or preparing for higher education, I tailor each session to their individual goals and learning style.

With over 12 years’ experience in Further and Higher Education, I understand what examiners and universities are looking for. I have successfully supported students to gain places on competitive courses and improve their academic performance alongside unlocking personal motivation.

I work particularly well with students who may lack confidence, need additional guidance and those who would benefit from developing greater contextual awareness creating a calm, encouraging environment where they can thrive. Progress records and feedback forms are completed in order to ensure steady improvement.
Lesson range from 45 mins - 90 mins and can be arranged in a way which best supports learning goals.
