About Moiz

I worked as a teacher for different NGOs previously. Our college initiated this education project called “Agaahi” (which means awareness) for the uneducated staff members like guards, gardeners, and nursemaids. So I was responsible for teaching the female security guard the operation of a computer and how to get basic things done. Moreover, in the last year, I co-headed the project and taught English. I offered statistical analysis and SPSS classes to my colleagues at university because students usually run away from statistics the subject and hence they lack in it. My expertise is within research methods in psychology, forensic psychology, developmental psychology, industrial and organizational psychology, consumer psychology, and positive psychology. Moreover, I have a certification in child psychology and stress management. Currently, I’m working as a learning support assistant at Beaconhouse TNS for a student with special needs.

When you book a trial lesson with me, I will make sure to be as clear as possible and one thing that you need not worry about is the authority within the classroom. I have a strong belief in employing a democratic style of leadership for my classes. Hence, I always involve the student when building a lesson plan for them because teachers usually don’t take the individual differences into account and this is the one thing that psychology has taught me the most about. So let’s connect and contribute towards the field of psychology together! I would initially go over what you know already and your perspective about the respective field, then we would move towards a chapter-wise approach, from the history to the present like how was the field at the start, why it is important that we study this field as a separate area. For example, how did psychoanalysis come into existence and how it is different from what it was in the early 1920s. We would cover the different subfields as well, like how forensic is linked with social psychology and developmental psychology as well. We will definitely cover case studies for better understanding and I would assign articles for reading as well because psychology is a field that demands the individual’s attention, you need to read to understand what the certain phenomenon consists of. The lessons will be very interactive because when you talk about history etc it can get boring so I would try my best to make it as interesting as possible. We would definitely rely on videos as well because for cases in forensics individuals are more likely to grasp interest when there are visuals instead of just a boring report on it. For the research course, I will take you through the basics like the research broken down into smaller components and then how each of it contributes towards the paper. For example how the literature review builds the interest of the reader and why it is important that it stays on track. After studying them at the end of each chapter I would ask you to generate information related to it by using any topic that you’d like. For example, if you were to test the impact of gender roles portrayal on social media and drama industry on individuals, how differently would you approach it from the regular researches.
