About Donna
My students not only reach a high level of performance and orchestra leadership positions but connect deeply to their music talents. Students come with varied music interest and abilities and the joy of teaching is in the discovering of the path to their very individual success.
It is always interesting and exciing to observe the learning process and see the weekly joy as students grow in and with their music.
My personal goal was to be the best teacher I could be. I have been very fortunate to have many fine teachers and work to emulate and honor their training.

There is conversation to understand the personality of the new student and what kind of learner they are as musicians. Second, an indepth review of all of the music they have ever played, studied, performed, sight-read etc. Next, proceed with hearing the player and discussing their goals. Conclude with setting a plan for lesson time that both agree would work best to meet goals.
