About Richard & Nicole
Our inspiring multi cultural studio has been teaching strings (violin, viola, cello, bass, ukulele, piano and voice) for all ages and Kindermusik - music and movement- for newborn to age 5 on the Treasure Coast, FL.
Our leading educators come with over 20

I was actually working as an interior designer... when I met my husband- who was majoring in viola performance. After we were married the design industry suffered a huge recession and I began teaching music! When I saw how much fun my husband was having... and then how much joy I had in bringing joy to children's lives thru music.. well I was hooked!

If they are new I try to begin with getting to know each other and their family, pets etc., what drew them to music, learning about what gives their life meaning and sparkle.
We approach learning strings thru 4 domains: Singing, Posture/Technique, Note Reading and Creativity/Expression. We have a variety of ways to process some or all of these thru each lesson.
All types! We have collectively taught over 500 students over the course of 17 years. We have taught many different learning styles as well as special needs. Its a joy to see them a student learn such beautiful instruments!
I would advise that they look at this as a progressive goal that will take much patience. It takes time and effort to learn any musical instrument... but the blessings will far outweigh the efforts.. if you understand that it will take time and patience.
I was privileged to play a Tango with my husband in an online Zoom concert for almost 1,000 friends and families.. and though it was very challenging for me I felt a sense of achievement and joy sharing our music with others that were discouraged and lonely. Music is such a powerful way to connect, to heal, to inspire and to help others.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Am I a good communicator? Can I communicate what I need and/or do not understand while taking a lesson?
Am I ok with making mistakes.. or funny sounds with humor and grace? And realizing its ok? Its part of growing and understanding how to play an instrument?
Am I able to listen and apply the suggestions that my teacher gives me every week?
Will I have the patience, committment and long term enthusiasm needed to play my instrument as often as possible between lessons?

Details
Yes. We offer an equal budgeted monthly tuition based on a semester/annual package of lessons- weekly lessons, group classes and seasonal performance (highly encouraged for younger students- optional for adults.) It roughly comes out to a $45 /35-40 minute lesson.
