About Alexandra

Hi! I am an alumni of the Manhattan School of Music in New York (Master's degree) and the Royal College of Music in London (Bachelor's degree). I won 15 international music competitions and several music awards. I play violin for over 20 years and gained 9 years of teaching violin, basic piano, and music theory. Even though I am a classical musician myself, I do teach pop music and improv. I have experience working with professionals as well as beginners of any age. Looking for a tutor to help you get ready for an audition or who can teach you to play violin? I am here to help you. Doubting whether music is boring or not? Hit me up and I will prove to you that it is a lot of fun!

About the lesson

The first lesson I learn what a student already knows and can/cannot play. If it's a beginner I start with showing an instrument, telling about its' parts and show how it sounds. If a student is an advanced player, then I prefer to listen to them first and depending on the level we proceed working on different things, such as intonation, left hand/bow technique, sight-reading, phrasing, and etc.

Beginners/amateur, advanced, professional.

A teacher should be encouraging, patient and friendly, you should never feel embarrassed or ashamed regardless your level of playing.

Alexandra is an excellent teacher! I take violin lessons with her for 3 months so far and we already finished 3 Suzuki volumes! She’s a patient teacher, which is super important to me, since I can’t stand when somebody raise a voice on me, it paralyzes me and the whole process of learning... I would definitely recommend her to anybody who is thinking of starting play violin but in doubts and afraid of fail. She’s the teacher you need, she makes it look super easy, haha.
