I studied with legendary Violin players (Steinhardt, Gingold, Isaac Stern, among others. ) I have a DMA ( Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree) MM, BA in Violin Performance with over 20 years of successful teaching and performance experience as a professional violinist. In addition, I have taught Strings, Orchestra, General Music and Drama at public schools. I assisted Juilliard faculty at the famous Meadowmount School of Music in New York by the time I was 18. I LOVE to teach violin, viola and also Chamber Music as well as basic Theory. I offer a sliding scale and offer group and private instruction, pending availability. No annual contract. All Styles: Suzuki, Traditional, Galamian Technique.I teach all ages and levels including adult learners. I started out teaching by volunteering to help assist my teacher by helping beginners when I was a teen studying at Greenwich House Music School in NYC. My first paying teaching job was at age 16, as a TA for a Toddler Music class at Greenwich House Music School.

We meet-n-greet for an informal session. We go over materials needed. I play a bit for children, to guage their response to the violin. I find out the goals of both parent and student. We learn violin and bow-hold separately. Step by step process is explained

Details
In House Per Lesson is full rate of a dollar per minute.
Online Skype lessons must be paid for by Paypal in full, and must be scheduled in advance.
(Please note that with Lesson.Com there may be an added fee.)
Monthly is with a 10 percent discount.
Ten-lesson ticket receives a 15 percent discount.
Children aged 3-5: 20" lessons
Ages 6-9 or 10 30" lessons
Dependant upon level:
45" lessons are usually for ages 10-13
Adults are only seen for one hour minimum.
Limited Merit Scholarships are available upon application.
Sliding scale is offered to Low-income families and single parent families.
