About Sharilyn
I teach anyone ages 4-100.
I had a spare fiddle to rent out and was between jobs! Over twenty years later, it is a deeply satisfying and rewarding profession. Equal parts music instruction/yoga teacher/life coach.
I've been teaching fiddle for over twenty years and have gone through a Suzuki method teacher training.

I teach traditional fiddle music by ear. At the beginning, we focus very strongly on form and posture.
Everyone, from a two year old and his parents, to elementary age kids, teenagers, college students, moms and dads, elderly. Complete beginners in any form of music to people transitioning away from classical violin.
Consider what kind of music you have in mind to play in the future and how you like to learn.
I taught at the West Cascades Fiddle Camp again this summer. Workshops in cross-tuning, how to learn by ear and traditional Irish fiddle. Intermediate level group classes all week.

I ask $25 for half hour lessons and accept a sliding scale $20-$35.
$35 for 45 minute lessons and accept a sliding scale $30-$45
