Years before I started teaching I gave a lot of thought to it, but it wasn't till an old teacher in in Nashville, TN moved back to Orlando, FL where I happened to move too also that I started teaching at his family's music school. From the very first lesson I knew I was wired to be a teacher and have enjoyed helping hundreds of students learn to play over the years.

The first step for all new incoming students would be to set up a FREE Meet & Greet. I like incoming students to know who I am & a little bit about my method of teaching so they know what to expect.
For Newbies:
I start with the basic fundimentals. Posture, Bow Holds, Names of the Strings, & if all is going well the student actually gets to play and learn part of a song right then.
New Students w/ Prior Experience:
I always like to give the student an opportunity to play for me so I can do an evaluation of the student's strengths and weaknesses so I know where to start them. From there I start by building on what the student already knows and filling in the gaps of what needs improvement.
I have experience teaching students 3+ from all walks of life.

Hi Jaron, you taught my daughter, Ava, violin about 12 years ago. I just saw your memory post about playing for your nephew. I was pregnant with our second daughter while Ava was in lessons and you usually would play for her (my belly!) at the end. Just want you to know she is now 12 and very musical. She is a strong singer who I am told has perfect pitch you cannot teach, and can play piano by ear. I attribute this to your playing to her before she was born. Even though it’s not face to he’s still detailed & strives for accuracy in your physical holding, posture, bowing technique & playing notes with fingers. He encourages you, challenges you & teaches patiently & kindly.
The online lessons were very convenient. They were also in my opinion almost as good as in person. Very professional and I would highly recommend.
The online lesson are awesome because he takes his time with students and is just like if it was in person. Great teacher and teaching techniques.
