About Chris
As a music educator, there's nothing more wonderful than a horn well played and a performance well heard. From every level of experience, each student receives full attention to detail and comprehensive lesson plans to suit their individual needs and goals.
We all enjoy creating something beautiful or accomplishing something amazing... and through dedication and practice, anyone can make music. to me, there's nothing more enjoyable than helping a student acheive a goal or take pride in their performance!
I studied Music Education at Sienna Heights University. Along with several positions held academically (e.g. President/Founder of the SHU NAfME Chapter, First Drum Major in University history [2 yrs], Vice President of the University Chorale) I've coached at the Lenawee County Honor Band, and at band camps for Blissfield, Britton Deerfield, Jonesville, and Hudson. I specialize in secondary music education.

First lesson is always most crucial. I like to dive right in with a meet/greet, goals, weaknesses, strengths, then develop a lesson plan tailored to each student from there.
I've found that the basics are always the best to start with at every age and level. Breathing, embouchure, fundamentals, and technique can always be improved and are the stepping stones of excellence!
From there, each student receives weekly practice goals to further their abilities... and show off at each following lesson.
5th through 12th grade. Some experience with adult learners as well.
Find the teacher that inspires you to be better. The instructor that pushes you is the instructor that cares.
