About Caleb

Although I am currently in university, I have been an avid trumpet musician for a decade. In these 10 years, I have had some amazing opportunities, like taking classes at Berklee School of Music with Sean Jones and Wycliff Gordon, participating in a Berklee Jazz Summer Workshop that culminated with a performance at the Newport Jazz Festival under the direction of Daniel Perez, and had the awesome opportunity to be in a week long jazz ensemble under the direction of Christian Sands. I went to a performing arts high school in New Haven, CT and am currently at the New School studying under NEA Jazz Master Jimmy Owens. I may be young, but many students find that easier to relate to. I have had such a great relationship with all my teachers over the years and am looking forward to sharing that spark for the love of music with other budding musicians.

My love for trumpet is immeasurable and being able to share knowledge that I've gained with others is something I've always wanted to be able to do.

I went to an arts highschool called E.C.A in New Haven Connecticut for four years where I was taught classical technique and music theory. I am now currently enrolled as a sophomore at The New School studying Jazz and Contempary Music.

About the lesson

I gage where they are technically and theoretically whether that be beginner or very advanced. I then can either create a curriculem based off what the person wants to improve on or take them through one I've created myself. The curriculum I've created is made to improve you technically as a player and to think in an efficient way to make playing easier.

Look for someone who you think you can connect with as a person, some teachers I've had in the past are very good friends of mine now!
