About Monica
I teach a variety of brass instruments. What I find most rewarding from this work is helping students find their love of music and their instrument.
I started my Bachelor's in music education and chose performance because I wanted to be a more specialized teacher and have the room to have a more individualized approach with my students.
I have 4 years of private lesson teaching experience, playing in the field, a bacholers degree in brass performance, and I will be starting a Masters in the fall for brass performance.

I get to know the student, their learning style, goals for the instrument, and why the picked the instrument they chose. From there we start with fundamentals to get a baseline for their playing abilities.
I've worked with beginning to advanced students in private and group settings. I've students who have jaw issues, are neurodivergent, or struggle with ADHD and anxiety.
