About Jennifer
Jennifer Adamson graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Music Education from Utah Valley University. She has studied the French horn with Jeb Wallace and Natalie Douglass. Throughout her time at UVU she has participated in multiple ensembles including both the Symphony Orchestra and Wind Symphony. She has also enjoyed playing with the French horn choir and has performed with them at various venues. She has attended the 2015 Southeast Horn Conference, 2016 Northwest Horn Symposium, and the 2017 Southwest Horn Conference where she has learned from accomplished horn players as well as performed with the horn choir and in solo competitions. Jennifer has a deep passion for music and loves to share that passion with others. She completed student teaching at Diamond Fork Jr. High. In the school year 2018-19, she taught elementary music at Mapleton Elementary School. Jennifer performed in the horn section with the Millennial Choirs and Orchestra, a non-profit organization with over 3,000 participants with locales in the West, and she recently had the opportunity to play at Carnegie Hall. Jennifer helps students to progress in their musical skills and hopes to instill within them the desire to be life long pursuers of music.
I earned a bachelor's of science degree in music education from Utah Valley University. I have performed with the UVU wind ensemble, symphony orchestra, and horn choir. More recently I have performed with the Millennial Choir and Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. I am currently a member of the South Sound Symphonic Band. I have taught private lessons for 3 years with students of varying skill levels. I teach beginners through college.

In the first lesson my goal is to make sure that I know the student's expectations for the lessons. We make goals together then I assess the student's level of playing. It is very important to me that my students are learning what they want to learn and are being taught in a way that they can learn. I want my students to be enthusiastic about music and playing their instrument. I strive to give each student the skills necessary to do so.
Right away I get the student playing their instrument and assign literature to practice. I teach music fundamentals, such as scales, articulation, range, and entonation in each lesson. The student learns through practicing musical exercises, etudes, excerpts and solos. As the student progresses they have opportunities to perform and meet their goals.
I have taught several students who are beginning their instruments, Jr. High and highschool students preparing to enter college and current college students.

Perfect! Jennifer is amazing. She always offers a positive along with a correction. She keeps the lesson moving and makes good use of the time available. My son practices because he wants to make her happy rather than because there will be negatives if he does not. We have worked with several other music teachers and instruments over the years and she is certainly the best.

She is patient and experienced. Our son has a hard time focusing. Jennifer was able to bring the focus back to the lesson and keep the lessons going even when she wasn't getting as much cooperation from our son as she needed.
