About Brent
I teach students of all ages, from beginner to college. I have an easy going and fun approach to music and work patiently to help students reach their goal(s). Communicating with parents is an important part of my teaching approach, to ensure that they remain aware and informed of a student's progress and achievement. I use a variety of music method books and work with students on tone production, range, articulation, and site reading.
I am and have been a professional trombonist and music instructor for 20 years. I have a Bachelor of Music Education Degree and a Masters Degree in Music Performance. I love and perform in musical theater, big band, rock, brass quintets, church orchestras and symphony orchestras. I bring my love of music and passion for teaching to every student that I meet.
